US Work Visa for French | E-2 Non-investor Visa

 In Alten Blogs

ALTEN Calsoft Labs is eligible to blanket E-2 Treaty Investor Visa (E-2 Visa) which allows an individual to enter and work inside of the United States as a non-investor employee of the business which is investing in to US, as long as the person is of the same nationality as the investor and is destined for a role in the US business that is either executive/supervisory or requires specialized skills that is essential to the efficient operation of the US enterprise.

The E-2 Treaty Investor visa (E-2 Visa) is based on the substantial investment that ALTEN has made in to Calsoft Labs Inc (US enterprise has to be at least 50% French owned). We have successfully used this Visa category to help move French National professionals from their J1 category Visa to E-2 Visa.

J-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa issued by the United States to research scholars, professors and exchange visitors participating in programs that promote cultural exchange, especially to obtain medical or business training within the U.S. Most of these professionals look to pursue their American dreams by extending their stay back in the US and E2 is a great option for these bright talents to continue to work in the US.

We sponsor their E-2 visa and after these professionals/engineers come on board we deploy them back with their original employer, who are more than happy to retain them and would in turn agree to work with us as their consulting partner for a small premium margin. It is essentially a win-win situation for all parties involved and we have successfully done this for 20+ candidates over the last 3 years.

Please note that we are also eligible for E-2 Expedited Visa (E-2 Visa) Program under which applicants whose companies pre-qualify can call the U.S. Consulate directly to schedule visa appointments and need only fill in one application form. This new procedure cuts down on the paperwork involved and reduces processing times from 6-7 to 1-3 weeks, depending upon appointment availability.
